ERASMUS+ Teacher Training Course

Course Description

This course is designed for the teachers who would like to improve their knowledge on the artificial intelligence (AI), to engage the issues of AI and learning at schools, and to develop the teacher and AI collaboration.


To create basic understanding of AI and its place in industrial revolution

To provide information about how AI changes life now and in the future

To provide aspects of AI technologies that facilitate learning

To represent examples of AI use and tools in schools

To introduce teaching skills for AI

To introduce next generation skills necessary to be built

To develop strategies to raise students’ interest in project based computer science and programming

1. History of industrial revolutions (briefly)

2. Impact of AI across all sectors and fields

  • Use of AI technologies

3. Teaching skills for AI

  • Machine learning (also applying machine learning to the neuroscience data)
  • Computing power, algorithms

4. Transformation of government and private organisations

  • How educational institutions react and adapt

5. Human impact on AI (difficulties for machines)

  • Creativity, social skills, perceptiveness

6. Next generation skills

  • Adaptability and creativity
  • Computational thinking, design
  • Project based learning, working in team
  • Data driven skills (statistics, logic)

7. Creating vision for AI in education to achieve the best outcome for students

  • Preparing the future individuals to use technology and reality of AI

8. How AI changes the processes in education

  • Digital learning interfaces with smart content
  • Impact on education through applications individualized learning (adaptive learning programs, games, software)
  • Tutoring systems using data from students to provide feedback and work together
  • Improvement for filling the gaps between school lectures and materials
  • Monitoring student progress
  • Automation of administrative tasks such as evaluating and grading
  • Computer intelligence (possible)

During the Course

Participants will

  • focus on aspects of AI and related technologies
  • find out the way of exploring AI concept and applications that support development of project based learning and skills
  • have the opportunity to determine some approaches about interdisciplinary teaching

After the Course

Participants will

  • identify educational implications of AI technologies on the way students learn and how schools teach and evolve
  • gain insight about the future nature of schools and the way of adopting recent technological advancements
  • foster development of skills of next generations
  • keep pace with the evolutionary technological process that is changing the way to learn and creating adaptive learning features with specific tools to improve the student’s perspective for the future
